Heart-warming, festive and occasionally memorable, here are our Top 3 Christmas adverts for 2021.
3) Barbour | Paddington, Please Look After This Bear
This is the very first time that Paddington’s original illustration style by Peggy Fortnum has been animated. This was achieved by an award-winning animation company that produced the animation in beautiful hand-painted 2D. We thought this advert deserved to be in the top 3
2) Aldi – Ebanana Scrooge
We love any advert that helps make vegetables seem fun and this is Kevin the Carrot’s sixth year appearing as Aldi’s mascot. Kevin features in a version of A Christmas Carol amongst many other vegetables including Marcus Radish, voiced by Marcus Rashford. Aldi has been working with Neighbourly, who joins businesses with charities in local spaces, donating surplus food to local causes. If you look in the background there is a nod to the M&S Caterpillar, which we thought was rather funny.
1) Celebrations – The Lonely Bounty
As somebody that considers eating everybody’s rejected Bounties one the best traditions of Christmas, this advert speaks to all of us at Compass Video on a personal level.
Featuring a love story between two of Christmases highlights: Bounties and Brussel Sprouts. The advert also announces that Mars Wrigley is starting a Bounty Return Scheme in January 2022, rolling out to three locations across the UK where you can swap your unwanted Bounty Bars for Malteaser Teasers.
